Genealogy Obit. Records |
The Genealogy & Local History Department has microfilmed copies of various newspapers that were published over the years in Clinton County. We have indexed those below and are currently working on the others. To search our databases for a particular record, please download the Excel file corresponding to the last name of that person. If we have that record, then you may e-mail the genealogy staff and we will do the look-up and send you a copy for a fee. Research fees include a $5.00 charge for the first inquiry, $3.00 for each subsequent inquiry within the same request, and copy costs. Copy costs are $.50 per page for microfilm copies and $.10 per page for regular copies.
Frankfort Times and its forerunners: Copies prior to 1986 are microfilmed copies; copies from 1986 and after are regular copies. This index is only for obituaries up to 1986; for anything after 1986, please email the genealogy staff.
If you have any further questions regarding our obituary database, please e-mail Grace, the head of genealogy.
Please click on the first letter of the last name of the person you are researching:

Kirklin Journal & Kirklin Press: The Kirklin Journal was published from 1916-1918; then, it commenced again in 1920 as the Kirklin Press. Thus, our index runs from 1916-1934, with nothing published in 1919.
**We are sorry, but at this time, we do not have all our obits entered into the database. Please check back often for new additions.
